Apps:
Campendium is a great app that allows you to find campgrounds near your location or anywhere in the country. You can filter for specific features, overlay cell phone coverage and public lands maps. Camper rieviews and photos are very helpful.
ioverlander is another great app to help find campsites while on the road
Recreation.gov. Outdoor recreation and camping are more popular than ever! Reserving a campsite in advance is not always necessary, but is recommended much of the year, especially summer. Many campgrounds and parks use recreation.gov as their online reservation system.
AllTrails is a very useful mobile app that is great for finding hiking trails.hiking, The service allows users to access a database of trail maps, which includes crowdsourced reviews and images. Maps may be downloaded for use offline.
The Dyrt is a great app with user reviewed campsites, maps and trip planning tips.
HipCamp offers unique camping experiences on over 300,000 campgrounds, ranches, vineyards, public parks and more

Washington State Ferries. If traveling around the Puget Sound is on your itinerary, make sure you check ferry schedules and determine if reservations are required for your route.
